You have all heard about Big Data, but what does it mean to wireless infrastructure deployment? Two companies have joined to find out the answers to that question. Centerline Solutions has acquired Boulder Technology, a software design and development firm, to develop software for complex wireless projects among other things.
Boulder Technology was founded eight years ago to develop custom enterprise platforms and one its clients over the years has been Centerline. The two companies have collaborated extensively on Centerline Solutions’ Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution, Centerpath, which serves as the foundation of its workflow planning for projects, resource planning and business operations oversight.
“One of the most exciting areas where clients are asking for our help is with business intelligence and data mining, which gives them invaluable information for steering their infrastructure decisions and optimizing their network,” Ben Little, CEO of Centerline Solutions. “Having Boulder Technology join our team helps us broaden our services with an in-house tech group that has expertise in those exact areas.”
Because the companies have just gotten together there are not a lot of details on new services, but they are looking at leveraging the technology that Centerline employs to provide value to the carriers and the supporting wireless infrastructure industry.
“The broad mandate for the technology services group going forward is take the information that Centerline and its partners gather daily, aggregate it and analyze it to provide better business intelligence and a better understanding of market dynamics and operational requirements,” said said Bill O’Toole, founder of Boulder Technology and new Centerline CTO. “The analysis will then be tied into more intelligent business practices and software to drive increased efficiency.”
