Henkels & McCoy Group has announced that David J. Cox has been promoted to president of Henkels & McCoy. Cox’s industry expertise and market understanding make him well-prepared to lead the company on its continued path of growth, innovation, and success. In addition to oversight and management of the company’s operations and strategic direction, Cox will lead H&M in its efforts to provide customer value, profitably, expand the business, and further develop a safe and diverse workforce committed to continuous improvement.
Cox has more than 30 years of progressive experience in construction operations, government contracting, and
private business. He joined H&M in 1999 as Regional Manager of the Mid-Atlantic Region. Throughout his 21-year
tenure with the company, Cox has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility and complexity, including
Vice President of Operations and then Regional Vice President of H&M’s Central Region. In 2016, he was promoted to
Senior Vice President of Communications for Henkels & McCoy Group (HMG) and President of HMI Services, Inc., a
subsidiary of HMG. David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Radio and Television from Radford University.
Cox succeeds James Dillahunty in the position of president of H&M. Dillahunty continues to serve as chief
operating officer of Henkels & McCoy Group.
James (Jim) A. Duffy has been promoted to executive vice president of operations for H&M, Inc. In this role, he will
initially oversee business development, labor relations, and licensing for the company. For a period of transition, Mr.
Duffy will continue to be responsible for the overall direction of H&M’s East Region, which under his guidance, has
generated consistently strong operating results and leadership succession for the future.
Having joined H&M as manager of government contracts in 1989, Duffy moves into his new position with
confidence and experience. He held numerous leadership positions throughout the company, including vice president of
business development, vice president of operations of the East Region, regional vice president, and senior vice
president of gas for Henkels & McCoy Group (HMG). His skills have served as drivers for the growth of H&M’s customer
base and a consistent record of bottom-line performance. Duffy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from
Holy Family University and a Master of Business Administration from LaSalle University, both in Pennsylvania.
