Consolidated Engineers, whose CEO Ernie Jones passed away last October, has merged with Hodge Structural Engineers to continue offering service to tower owners and operators. Dave Davies and Keith Barnett will remain on board through the transition. Hodge Structural has been in business for more than 20 years and offers three core structural engineering services: building engineering, tower engineering, and tank engineering with professional engineers licensed in 48 states.
Ernie Jones, a tower specialist with Consolidated Engineering, died in an elevator accident while inspecting a tower in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, last October. Jones, who was a leading tower industry safety advocate, died from asphyxiation when his back lanyard remained attached to the tower as he descended in an elevator.
