L-com Global Connectivity has launched a series of low-PIM-rated products to address DAS network applications. L-com’s low-PIM-rated products are specifically designed for in-building wireless systems such as DAS networks, which are used to distribute cellular and Wi-Fi signals throughout a building or area. This series of products includes adapters, connectors, surge protectors and high-performance ceiling-mount antennas. L-com’s series of low-PIM-rated products meet low-PIM standards with ratings of < -160 dBc or < -150 dBc. www.l-com.com
L-com Global Connectivity has developed two MIMO sector antennas that provide 180-degree coverage. The HG2458-13P-180 is a 180-degree dual-band MIMO sector antenna that combines high-gain and dual-band support for applications in the 2.4 GHz (2400-2500 MHz) and 5 GHz (4900-5850 MHz) frequency bands. The HG5813DP-180 is a 180-degree dual-polarized MIMO sector antenna, which delivers high-gain with vertical and horizontal polarization for applications in the 4.9 GHz to 5.8 GHz frequency bands. Both of these antennas feature a dual-feed system via two integral N-Female connectors. The HG2458-13P-180 antennas utilize a separate feed for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bandwidths. The HG5813DP-180 offers separate feeds for horizontal and vertical polarization. These antennas feature heavy-duty UV-resistant plastic radomes for all-weather operation. Additionally, they are supplied with a stainless steel tilt and swivel mast mount kit, which allows installation with various degrees of up/down tilt for easy alignment. www.l-com.com
L-com has expanded its line of rack mount lightning and surge protectors to include 12-port and 24-port models, in addition to its four-port models. L-com’s RMSP series rack mount protectors span a variety of types including Cat 5, Cat 6, and DSL/ Telephone/T1 models. Each unit provides superior lightning and surge protection to help prevent damage to expensive network equipment. The new 2U 12-port protectors are constructed from 1/16-inch thick cold rolled steel and are flat black powder coated. These models can be used with L-com’s PR-CMB cable management bracket Kit. The new RMSP-CAT5-24 is a completely self-contained 24-port protector in a 1U rack mount enclosure. It features a built-in rear cable management rail.
The RMSP-CAT5S-12 provides protection for up to 12 Cat 5 data lines, and the RMSP-CAT5-24 provides protection for up to 24 eight Cat 5 data lines.
The RMSP-CAT6-12 Surge Protector provides surge protection for up to 12 Ethernet lines using 10/100/1000 data rates. The RMSP-CAT6T-12 lightning and surge protector provides superior lightning and surge protection for up to 12 lines with improved frequency response for indoor 10/100/1000 Ethernet networks. The RMSP-DT-12 is a high performance 3-stage lightning protector that provides superior protection for up to 12 DSL, Telephone and T1 lines from transients and surges. It is designed to convert into a failsafe mode in the rare case of a catastrophic surge or lightning event. www.l-com.com
L-com has added the HyperLink brand line of dual-band Omni directional antennas for the 2.4/4.9-5.8 GHz frequency bands. They are small, lightweight, indoor/outdoor rated and low cost. These compact and lightweight dual band antennas are suited for IEEE 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n and 802.11ac wireless LANs, Homeland Security/Public Safety bands and other multipoint applications where wide coverage is desired or multiple frequencies are available for use. The antennas feature durable UV-stable machine gray fiberglass radomes, as well as vented end caps and drain holes in the base to help prevent moisture build-up inside the antenna. These features allow the antenna to be mounted in an up or down position.
The three new models include the HGV-2458-03U (3 dBi), HGV-2458-05U (5 dBi), and HGV-2458-07U (7 dBi). Each antenna ships with a mast mounting kit for masts up to 2 inches in diameter.
The dual band design of the HGV antennas eliminates the need to purchase different antennas for each frequency, which simplifies installation since the same antenna can be used for a wide array of wireless applications. www.L-com.com
L-com has released two coaxial lightning protectors designed to be crimped directly onto 400-series low-loss coaxial cable, reducing insertion loss. They feature DC to 5.8 GHz wide-band operation and are perfect for use in IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi applications.
By directly crimping the lightning protectors to the cable, technicians can reduce insertion loss while providing protection with features such as multi-strike capability, bi-directional protection and replaceable gas discharge tubes. In addition to the crimp protectors, L-com is offering pre-crimped cable assemblies and the ability to create custom cable assemblies with various connector ends. www.L-com.com
