Certainly the changing of the guard in both the FCC and White House will have a significant impact on the wireless scene as we move into the Trump era. Expect a fight to repeal the net neutrality act and much less resistance to attempts by the big wireless and content players to form partnerships and make acquisitions.
This will not likely bode well for the consumer as the FCC will also, likely, be de-fanged to by the administration. 2017 will certainly be a year of uncertainty for the wireless industry, in general, from the infrastructure players down to the consumer – is will be a wait and see game.
